Location: São Paulo, Brazil

I have BSc and MSc degrees in Environmental Engineering, and I have a special interest in air pollution since my participation in an undergraduate scientific research program. I am currently a PhD student in Meteorology at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of São Paulo. I intend to learn about the toxicity of particulate matter (PM) and to examine the association between exposure to PM and the induction of premature renal ageing through my participation in the PM-KIDNEY consortium, which will challenge me further. What I like about my work is the opportunity of collaborating with scientists from different research groups and improving my knowledge.
