Role: Research technician at the Department of Pathology in the Amsterdam UMC with our main focus on the kidney

Location: Assendelft, The Netherlands

I studied Life Sciences at Hogeschool Alkmaar (NL) and during my internship in Southampton (UK) I realized research was the field I wanted to work in. After almost 20 years of laboratory work, I still enjoy it and the work remains varied and challenging to me. The main goal of my work is to broaden our knowledge about kidney disease and the biological processes involved. Within this consortium specifically my contribution will be to help unraveling the effect of air pollution on renal function.
